HO Ortner 5-Bay Rapid Discharge Hopper is a ready-to-run HO-scale freight car designed for realistic layout operation. This five-bay hopper includes removable loads and five individually numbered cars to provide authentic variety in a single set. Each car features separately applied brake wheels and wire grab irons on the side ladders, with accurate painting and printing that replicate prototypical detail.

Built on a newly tooled injection-molded body, the model rides on machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and uses body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers for smooth operation on HO track. It is weighted for steady performance and can negotiate curves down to an 18-inch radius. New tooling adds enhanced fidelity, including etched stainless-steel brake wheel platform, detailed train brake line piping, and a precisely scaled hopper door linkage with re-shaped weight for better see-through. The five-car set ships fully assembled and ready to run on the layout.
