HO ATH GP50 Locomotive UP Ex-MP #985 (ATH-1514)
HO GP50 Union Pacific Locomotive in the Legendary Liveries collection is a fully assembled, ready-to-run HO-scale model that faithfully recreates the four-axle EMD GP50 road-switcher used by Union Pacific in the 1980s.
Designed for HO layouts, this locomotive features a heavy die-cast frame for traction and pull-power, all-wheel drive for smooth operation, and a 5-pole motor with precision flywheels and a multi-link drive. It comes with factory Celcon handrails and individually applied wire-form grab irons, see-through cab windows, and separately applied horns, along with LED headlights, ditch lights, and beacons where applicable to the prototype. The wheels are nickel-plated, blackened machined with RP25 contours, and it uses McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers for realistic coupling. It is DCC-ready with a 21-pin NEM plug, fully painted and decorated on a detailed injection-molded body, and ready to run straight out of the box. For layout planning, minimum curve radius is 18 inches, with 22 inches recommended for best performance.
