HO-scale SD40T-2 mechanism with DCC and Sound, featuring onboard Econami Sound by SoundTraxx, is designed to bring authentic diesel operation to HO layouts. It runs on both DC and DCC, with full DCC functionality and NMRA compatibility in DCC mode; some features are limited in DC, though engine, horn, and bell sounds still operate in DC.

Designed for installation into HO-scale diesel locomotives, this mechanism includes a CV chart to tailor performance and delivers excellent slow-speed control. It supports multiple-unit lashups with lead unit horn, bell, and lights, and the onboard Econami sound provides realistic audio that enhances operation on the layout.
