HO SD40 Locomotive with DCC and Sound, Pacific Harbor Line #67 (ATH87336)
HO-scale SD40 Locomotive with DCC and Sound in Pacific Harbor Line livery, unit #67. This detailed, ready-to-run model recreates the Pacific Harbor Line’s modern MP20C-3 locomotives rebuilt from SD40 cores, delivering authentic harbor-yard power for HO layouts.
Designed to mirror the prototype, the locomotive includes a dual roof beacon (flash in DCC), whip antenna, MU hoses, and an air conditioner, along with bi-directional LED lighting, see-through dynamic brake and cab windows, a detailed 4,000-gallon fuel tank, and finely molded details such as separately applied grab irons and photo-etched windshield wipers. It rides on Flexicoil-C trucks with the appropriate brake cylinders, uses McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible) and RP25 wheels for reliable tracking, and features a newly designed can motor for stronger, quieter performance. DCC-ready Quick Plug technology and an onboard Tsunami2 DCC/Sound decoder with dual cube speakers provide rich engine, horn, and bell sounds on both DC and DCC layouts, with NMRA-compatible functions in DCC mode and controllable lighting (F5/F6); minimum layout radius is 18 inches (22 inches recommended). It’s fully assembled and decorated for immediate placement on a layout.
