HO F89F Bi-Level Auto Rack Model (ATHG-1772)
HO F89F Bi-Level Auto Rack is an HO-scale model of a two-level auto rack car, designed to bring prototypical appearance and operation to a railroad layout. It combines a die-cast underframe with a highly detailed injection-molded body and accurate Whitehead and Kales auto rack styling, enhanced by wire-formed brake plumbing and precise paint and printwork for convincing realism.
For HO layouts, it rolls on machined metal wheels with RP25 profiles and uses body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers for dependable, prototypical coupling. End bridge plates are included where applicable, with separately-applied grab irons, a hand brake per prototype, and authentic deck, safety railing, and trainline and brake hose detailing. The car rides on 70-ton roller bearing trucks with animated rotating bearing caps, delivering lifelike operation and ride height. A minimum radius of 22 inches is required, with 24 inches or larger recommended for best clearance and performance on most layouts.
