HO GEN GP15-1 Locomotive with DCC and Sound - SOU #5300 (ATHG-1909)

This HO-scale GP15-1 locomotive with DCC and sound is a compact, four-axle diesel switcher designed for yard work and light road service on a model railroad. Based on the EMD GP15-1 prototype built from 1976 to 1982, the ready-to-run model delivers authentic detailing and era-appropriate paint schemes, including the Legendary Liveries version featuring SOU #5300.

Built for HO layouts, this model combines a heavy die-cast frame with smooth, reliable drive and a host of detailed touches such as a full cab interior, see-through cab windows, fine-scale Celcon handrails, lit number boards, and body-mounted scale knuckle couplers. DCC is standard, and sound-equipped versions include an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and dual speakers for realistic engine, horn, and bell effects; many functions are NMRA-compatible and CV-adjustable with a chart included. It ships fully assembled and ready to run, with LED lighting and proven operation on common layouts, including a minimum 18" radius (22" recommended) for optimal performance.
