HO GEN GP7L Locomotive with DCC & Sound, Patched LN #1700 (ATHG-2323)
HO GP7L Diesel Locomotive with DCC & Sound, LN 1700 patch is a highly detailed HO-scale model of the EMD GP7L switcher, designed for realistic operation on model railroads. It pairs a DCC decoder and SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound system with dual speakers to deliver authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds in both DC and DCC, while a Genesis drivetrain—featuring a 5-pole skew-wound motor, a heavy die-cast frame, and all-wheel drive—provides smooth, quiet pulling power on standard 18"-radius curves.
Road-number-specific detailing offers prototype-accurate paint schemes and equipment variations, including see-through cab windows, LED lighting, scale handrails, and carefully modeled fuel tanks and hatches. A front-end Pyle National Gyralight can oscillate in DCC mode for added realism, and features such as non-dynamic brake hatches and MU hoses support authentic lashups. The model uses a 21-pin NMRA DCC interface for plug-and-play setup and options for weathering, including a “Primed for Grime†version that provides a ready starting point for adding grime and rust to recreate an In-Service look.
