HO G2 SD90MAC-H Phase I with DCC & Sound Union Pacific #8500 (ATHG27324)
HO-scale G2 SD90MAC-H Phase I locomotive with DCC & Sound in Union Pacific livery offers a detailed, ready-to-run model for realistic operation on HO layouts.
Union Pacific was the sole buyer of the SD90MAC-H (UP called it the SD90AC), and this release covers the Phase I units from the second and third orders delivered between 1997 and 1999, prior to their renumbering into the 8900 series. Some early UP variants were produced without a starter capacitor and with the end-of-train device mounted further forward on the fuel tank, and a small number of the earliest examples were treated as pre-production and wore multiple numbers during their lifetimes. These variations are captured in the model to support authentic display and reliable operation on HO-scale layouts.
