HO 4-8-2 MT-4 with DCC and Sound (ATHG71658)
HO scale Southern Pacific MT-4 4-8-2 Mountain steam locomotive with DCC and sound is built to bring authentic SP mountain power to an HO layout. This model features the Skyline casing for a distinctive, streamlined silhouette and carries period‑correct detailing that makes it a convincing centerpiece for SP-era scenes.
Sound-equipped versions include a tender-mounted DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 and dual cube speakers for rich, realistic audio that operates on both DC and DCC, with full DCC functionality and chuff, whistle and bell cues in DC. All functions are NMRA compatible in DCC mode, and CVs can be adjusted for tuned, slow-speed performance (CV chart included). In addition to technical audio features, SP detailing such as metal handrails, see-through running boards, LED headlight and a blackened wheel finish helps capture the Mt-4’s 1926–1958 era on HO layouts designed for a minimum 22" radius.
