HO Trinity 3-Bay Hopper AGPX # 1 Model (ATHG97157)
This HO-scale Trinity 3-Bay Covered Hopper is a faithful model of a 5161-cubic-foot hopper car used to haul agricultural products, sugar, and other dry goods on North American rails. Based on Trinity Steel’s widely adopted three-bay design, the model captures the look of in-service equipment seen on unit trains and in yards across Class 1 and short-line fleets.
Details include two body styles representing 10-panel and 12-panel variations, coupler cut lever and air hose on each end, a separate brake cylinder, valve and air reservoir with wire brake plumbing, a photo-etched metal roofwalk, and body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers. The car rides on Genesis 100-ton trucks with animated spinning roller bearing caps and 36-inch machined metal wheels with RP25 contours for smooth operation on most HO track. It is weighted for optimum performance with a minimum radius of 18 inches, and features a Primed-for-Grime finish that duplicates the look of in-service equipment while providing a ready starting point for adding grime and rust.
